Bison vs Buffalo is a classic 5-reel slot machine with 4 symbols per reel that offers fantastic payouts. The game has 40 paylines that pay from left to right and 8 regular symbols, each with its own payout level. Among these symbols, there is a WILD symbol, available in two variants: WILD Bison and WILD Buffalo, both with the same functionality and value. In addition, the game has a Sun symbol that triggers the HOLD & WIN bonus game.
The HOLD & WIN bonus game, activated by 6 or more Sun symbols, features 20 independent reels arranged in a 5×4 grid similar to the main game. During this bonus round, the activating symbols remain fixed in place, turning into coin symbols that reveal cash prizes. The main game symbols disappear, leaving empty spaces for re-spins. All bonus symbols pay out exclusively during this bonus round and remain fixed on the reels for the entirety.
Players start with 3 re-spins, with each new symbol resetting the count to 3. However, landing blank symbols reduces the re-spin count by 1. The bonus game continues until there are no more re-spins or all reels are filled with bonus symbols. When all reels are filled with bonus symbols, the Grand Jackpot is awarded.
Cash symbols can award prizes ranging from 1x to 25x the player’s bet. Additionally, Mystery Jackpot symbols can award MINI, SMALL or MAJOR Jackpots at the end of the feature. At the end of the HOLD & WIN bonus game, all cash and Jackpot prizes are counted to determine the total win.
Players have the option to directly purchase the HOLD & WIN bonus game by clicking the bonus game button and agreeing to pay 60 times the total bet.
The feature adds more Sun symbols to the reels, increasing the chances of triggering the Hold & Win feature by 300%. It also multiplies the total bet by 1.5 times. It does not affect payouts on winning lines.
This feature is randomly activated after a non-winning result on the screen. It awards a random MULTIPLIER of the total bet win in the range of x5 to x100, following certain steps: x5, x8, x10, x15, x20, x25, x30, x40, x50, x70, x80 or x100.
When the Bison vs Buffalo Duel feature is available, the following rules apply:
After each win, if you have not reached the betting limit, you will be presented with a Bison vs Buffalo button in the game window. On desktop computers, the bonus game button changes to a Bison vs Buffalo button when the Bison vs Buffalo Duel feature is available. You can collect your winnings or bet them to double the amount. If you choose Bison vs Buffalo Duel, a screen with two doors will appear. You will need to guess whether the next animal behind the door will be a Bison or a Buffalo. Once you have made your choice, the door will open and if your guess is correct, you will receive double the amount of your current winnings. If you guess incorrectly, you will lose your current winnings.
This Bison vs. Buffalo Duel feature also includes a Golden Skull, which replaces both the Bison and the Buffalo.
The Bison vs. Buffalo Duel feature can also be accessed during Autoplay. To enable or disable the Bison vs. Buffalo Duel feature during Autoplay, the Options button located under the Menu button must be pressed. When the player enables the Bison vs. Buffalo Duel feature during Autoplay, the Bison vs. Buffalo button is activated for half a second instead of the Bonus Game button during Autoplay.
When the player presses the Bison vs. Buffalo button during Autoplay, they are redirected to a screen with two doors. On the Bison vs. Buffalo Duel feature screen, the player has three options: Collect Winnings, Bet Winnings, or Use Take Half. If the player uses “collect” or loses all of their winnings, they are redirected back to the game screen where autoplay continues.
The “Collect Half” button can also be used. It appears when the player enters the “Buffalo vs. Buffalo Duel” feature. It offers the opportunity to keep half of the player’s winnings, which are collected and added directly to their balance. The player can then wager the remainder of their winnings or use the “Collect Half” option again. The “Collect Half” option ends when half is divided into two numbers with two decimal places.
The “Buffalo vs. Buffalo” button is not displayed if the amount won is greater than a certain “limit” amount (which is set by the operator). If the player is already in the “Buffalo vs. Buffalo Duel” feature and their current winnings are greater than the limit amount, the “Buffalo vs. Buffalo Duel” feature ends and the player can collect their winnings.
The game has 40 winlines evaluated from left to right.
